As part of their Leadership and Communication class, students founded “Be The One,” a campaign to discourage online bullying and promote positive social media use. It started out as an assignment, but ended up being so much more. On the Winona Campus, students held an interactive creative poster design to spread awareness and attract pledges of positivity on social media. And members of the class presented at Winona Cotter Junior High to convey the message of “More posts. More positivity. All it takes is one person. BE THE ONE.” Student leaders hope the campaign will be a legacy that is continued by the next group of passionate students.
