Student-athletes pledged their support for the “It’s On Us” campaign.

The university supported the national observance of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) with a variety of activities to spread awareness and encourage prevention. Students worked with administrators to plan and lead the events, which included information tables, SAAM support ribbons, bystander intervention training, a documentary movie, and panel discussion. A video by Ricky Palermo—capturing Cardinal athletes pledging to take action against sexual assault—was honored with a first-place award from the Minnesota Public Relations Society of America.
